Looking for answers?

 

I’ve been listening to the inner Voice for years. It’s a practice. Sometimes it’s clearer than other times and when it is, there’s just nothing like it–it’s like being cradled in the palm of love itself and everything becomes clear. Honestly, I’ve found that there’s nothing more important than this. Nothing.

Flying monkeys anyone?


I’m someone who needs quiet time. I meditate, write, read, and contemplate spiritual ideas. I actually feel like I got nothing done if I’m too busy doing things, and I’ve been way too busy doing things as I prepare to move to California for an extended period. I could really use a fairy godmother right now but in lieu of that, flying monkeys will do.

This is the yoga pose I referred to in yesterday’s post. Mine is, er, not as pretty, but that’s what I like about artistic license. Wink.

I took up a serious yoga practice just before the pandemic hit. I had dabbled in it many years ago for a short time, but this journey has been very different. I’m seeing so many parallels between what I experience “on the mat” and life, particularly my spiritual life and growth. Curl up and trust…

Today I’m resting in something bigger than what I think I need. Right now I’m looking at little Pucci, our little five-pound Maltese, curled up in my lap right now. He completely trusts that he is safe and cared for in this moment. I want to surrender into this just like Pucci, knowing there’s a very large lap that I too can curl up into and know that It knows so much better what I need and want. Continue Reading »
