This is no fairy tale, however much it can seem like it’s not true. I’ve seen too many astounding things to believe otherwise, but it takes actual experiences; otherwise, it’s just blind faith.
So, how do we have these experiences? How do we begin to see that we aren’t these tiny, limited mortals at the mercy of so many things outside our control?
Get quiet. Go within. Try to forget everything you think is good and bad, right and wrong, what you need, what you want, and what others need to do or not do. You don’t have to lay these aside forever. Tell yourself, “For the next couple of minutes (or however long you wish to sit and listen), I’m going to set these aside in a pile. If I want to, I can pick them back up when I’m done.”
They might try to jump back in. That’s okay. Don’t fight them. Just gently lay them back down. You might say to yourself again, “I see you, but I’m laying you aside for just a couple of minutes while I listen within.” It’s okay if you have to do this over and over again. It’s called practice for a reason.
It can help to contemplate a spiritual idea. An idea you can keep bringing your focus back to. It can even be today’s post: “Is there a place within me where nothing is impossible? Is this true? Could this be true?”
Once you begin to have even the tiniest glimpse of what lies beyond all your planning and everything you think you need, you will have no problem believing.

thank you for this! 😘
