Autumn is one of my favorite seasons. The beauty in change is so evident, and as the trees release their leaves, blanketing the ground with color, I am always reminded of the importance of letting go.
There are so many seasons in life, and as much as I would sometimes like to carry one season into another, it’s just not possible. The leaves disintegrate, the snow melts, and the flowers fall away, making room for the next season.
There’s so much said about letting go of the past, but how do you do that? How do you let go of those seasons that filled your heart with joy or left it broken into tiny pieces? The only way I know to do that is to focus on this season, today, and look for this day’s gifts and opportunities to learn and grow.
I know this can seem hard sometimes, but I’ve found that the journey is much more challenging and heavier when I try to carry all the past seasons into this one…into today. When I am focused on yesterday, I can’t see the beauty in the road in front of me.
I am going to consciously look for the beauty and opportunities today offers, particularly when my mind wanders to wishing for something in the past or when my heart aches with the memory of past hurts. Join me?

You are such the blessing ~ I feel wrapped in a blanket of comfort with every message you send. With eternal gratitude Jennifer
