The power of gratitude is literally incomprehensible. If we could really see this, we wouldn’t hesitate to practice it as much and as often as we possibly could. It is Divine Love’s sister and the rocket ship to unimaginable places. There simply aren’t words to express the importance of practicing gratitude.
It does not matter one bit what you are grateful for; the only thing that matters is the experience of feeling thankful. You can express gratitude for anything from the silly and simple to the most profound.
My tears of sadness, frustration, anger, and grief have turned to tears of joy too many times to count by simply practicing gratitude. There are many times I don’t feel grateful, but I’ve learned not to let that stop me. I start giving thanks until I feel it. Sometimes that comes quickly, and sometimes I have to persist, but it will come if you are determined not to give up until you feel it.
What I feel grateful for has changed a lot over the years, and I suspect it will for you too, but that doesn’t matter. Start where you are, right where you are, and the doors will open to wonders beyond your wildest imagination.
I’m not referring to writing down a few things you’re grateful for each day, but rather, sit or walk and look within and without while giving thanks for everything, from a tiny reflection on a piece of metal to a piece of garbage on the street.
Don’t worry that this might not make any sense. “Why would I give thanks for a piece of garbage?” you might protest. That’s okay. Do it anyway, and let the experience show you the beauty that lies beyond everything…including that piece of garbage.
One thing is sure: If you don’t want to experience unimaginable beauty and wonder, please don’t practice gratitude this way.

Grateful for everything you do. Thank you

You’re so right, beautifully and well said 💗. Great reminder that no matter what is happening in our lives, there’s always something to be thankful for even if we have to look a little deeper.
