There’s a way of seeing that sees through what the eyeballs see to the substance of everything…Love. It doesn’t matter what the appearance looks like; Love is always present, but we’re very often just not aware of it.

I know this can seem like a strange idea, and honestly, there’s no way to really understand it until you’ve actually experienced it. It can even seem highly objectionable at first. It takes practice and the desire to see something different than what we are seeing.

The closest things I’ve found in the world of form to this experience are what are called 3D eye images or stereograms. (I’ve included a couple for you in today’s post.)

If you look at these images on the surface, they appear pretty abstract, but if you look THROUGH the picture and blur your eyes, you’ll begin to see a three-dimensional image pop out.

And like with spiritual vision, you can’t focus on the surface appearance AND what lies beyond it; you can see only one or the other.

A simple practice in learning how to see through appearances is to ask inwardly, “Help me to see this differently. I want to see that Love is present, right here, right now, where this appearance seems to be.”

We can see Love’s presence everywhere because it is everywhere. There are no exceptions to this, no matter how much it can seem otherwise. Listen, I know it doesn’t seem like this is true, and certainly, don’t take my word for it. You have to find out for yourself.

The trick to seeing the hidden 3D images in these stereograms is to hold the image close to your face while looking through the image and slowly pull the image away from your face while continuing to look through the image.
