Bonjour! I just flew back from Paris yesterday. I had a bit of a problem posting while I was gone, but I’m back…
It can sometimes seem like nothing is happening, but deep roots are growing beneath the surface to support the magnificent blessings that will eventually sprout. The key in life is to learn not to judge or draw conclusions based on how things appear but to look deeper, beyond appearances, to the light that is always shining.
I began to see this light by getting quiet and looking within. I had searched everywhere, and I do mean everywhere and found no lasting satisfaction or hope. One day it came to my attention that the one place I hadn’t searched was within. I had no idea what I was doing or what I might find. But alas, that single decision changed everything.
I discovered that everything I had always longed for was not out of reach but within me all along. I had just been looking for it in the wrong place. I was fishing in a field, hoping to assuage my deep hunger pains. I was casting my line over and over again, catching only lumps of grass and old boots. When I went within, I heard the quiet Voice that lives in each of us and wants to lead us, “Dear child, so many fish await you. More than you can possibly imagine, but to find them, you have to go to the water.”
The infinite ocean we are all yearning for lives within. I didn’t find them through some sort of wishcraft or because I knew some magic formula or by clicking my heels together three times. (And believe me, my fairy godmother is a fairy-godmother-school dropout.) They also didn’t come without a lot of devotion and effort, but effort directed where something can be found is the first and necessary step.
In case you didn’t notice, I’m a metaphor mixer.
Welcome home. thank you
