If your halo is banged up, it might be because you’re like me and attempt to fly more than most.
I am deeply spiritual. I am not religious, although I see a thread of truth running through various religious texts. I never talk about the depths I go to with anyone; it’s literally beyond words, so there’s no point in trying to talk about it.
None of this is because I’m special or better than anyone. For whatever reason, I just began having profound experiences many years ago that felt like finding sparkling water in the desert, but the same things are available to everyone.
The deeper I go, the more I see it’s only scratching the surface of what is incomprehensibly vast. It’s work. It’s a 24/7 job. There are periods when it’s more effortless, unbelievably clear, and beautiful beyond human comprehension. I have witnessed too many inexplicable things to count—“impossible” things, but there are also challenges at times—sometimes deep challenges.
The journey is not all “love and light.” It sometimes feels like you’re plunged into darkness and have to dig deep to work through it, but you always emerge with a more profound and clearer view. You quickly see that you can’t just throw some “positive” or “spiritual” platitudes around and hope to have a different experience.
Sometimes when it looks least “spiritual” is when we are advancing the most, and sometimes when we are “love and lighting” everything, we are actually standing still.
So don’t despair if you are in despair. In order to reach the sun, we must pass through some clouds.
A part of the problem is that they just don’t make halos the way they used to. Just a warning: Mine is in the shop…again, but it feels strangely liberating. I think I might donate it once it’s repaired; I’m beginning to think they are overrated and possibly wholly unnecessary.
Yes,we all have need of a Halo repair. None of us are perfect, we all sin and come short.Jesus Christ knew this and that is why He died for Every Single person because He loves us and knew that we would need to be forgiven in order to go to Heaven. We all have our good times and bad also but Jesus is a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Amen 🙏🏻
