The peace we find today, in this moment, is tomorrow’s blessings.
I know it can seem like worry will protect us and keep us safe, but does it? Does it ever? I’ve found that the trust and peace I find today, free from worry, brings a fresh, new, and beautiful tomorrow.
This doesn’t mean that worry won’t come knocking, but I can remind myself that worry never really offers me anything I want or need, and turn within to find the peace and joy that is always waiting and that is always available.
What else could I want but to feel truly peaceful and joyful today? Not a put-my-head-in-the-sand kind of “peace.” That’s not real peace. The peace I’m referring to has nothing to do with where you are, what you’re doing, or with whom. It’s not based on circumstances or conditions, and it’s found by looking.
There’s an ever-available peace that lives beneath the waves that crash on the surface.
Very true but sometimes very hard to do. Love your paintings and wise words in everything you write. Wishing you the best 🤗
