When I first began to hear that inner voice clearly, I knew I wanted to hear it all the time and do whatever it guided me to do. It’s sometimes a more audible voice, but more often, it’s a knowing or an awareness. With it comes such a sense of certainty and calm that it’s really undeniable. Although sometimes it’s instructions about doing something, it usually reveals a way of looking at things.
I have only consciously defied it one time, and I’ll never do that again. I don’t recommend this.
Learning to hear it and discern it over the cacophony of the world’s noise takes practice. We have to learn that we want to hear it and that we can trust it because often, what it says doesn’t make sense to human understanding.
The best way to learn is by getting quiet often throughout the day and just listening for even a minute or less, remembering that this voice does not need to hear what we have to say; we need to hear what it has to say.
This voice wants us to hear it, but we often think we know what we need, how things work, and how things should go, so we aren’t open to hearing it. The more we are willing to accept in some measure that we don’t know and that we need guidance, the clearer the voice becomes.
I could care less what you call this voice so don’t bother going all caps on me about what it’s called. Call it whatever resonates with you. A name does not make something what it is: A bird isn’t made a bird by the word used to point to it.

the only time I ignored that inner voice that projected a warning was when I got in so far, so deep it took months to get it straightened out. I listen all the time now, always did before, it was just that one time…ah, life! When we listen, we are taken places we would never have dreamed of.

I listen to that “voice” all of the time now and the more I listen, the stronger it gets, the more often I hear it. How Beautiful abd Powerful and Miraculous it is. I am so very Grateful and Fortunate.

This is so true. The voice does not even need a name. All you have to do is listen and consider what it says .
