I’ve been working on this move to California for two years. Yes, two years of packing ordering things, unpacking, organizing…and repeatedly clicking my heals together hoping the Good Witch of the North would magically appear. The problem is that this hasn’t been a run-of-the-mill move; one where you just pack everything up and then unload it all into an empty house. It’s a long story but suffice it to say that this has been the most difficult move I’ve ever made (and I’ve moved A LOT in my life).
Although the house no longer looks like Stonehenge (with pillars of boxes everywhere), there’s still a lot to figure out, but when I tried to access my computer using touch ID and it didn’t recognize my fingerprints (because I wore them off), I decided to slow this train waaay down today.
I don’t know about you, but I usually have two speeds–fast and stop. It’s hard for me to just downshift into a slower speed, but I’m going to saddle up my turtle and give it one heck of try in the coming weeks. If you see me (slowly) passing by, give a wave…and then another…and another…
Welcome! Our state is so large and has so much to offer from snow capped Mountains to the Giant Redwood Forest, to the gorgeous serenity of the Desert to the gift of a 900 miles of Gorgeous Coastline. We have so many different areas of CA to call home, I hope you found your perfect spot. My family arrived here in the late 1800’s from Italy. I am so happy they were so brave and wanted to live in the USA and in this fabulous state. Welcome, love your work.

I have those same speeds fast and stop. I’ve had a lot of health problems in the last three years and mentally being slowed down when my body wants to go fast has been a challenge. I hope things get better for you and you get your place together. I can’t tell you how much inspiration I get from your daily posts…. not only do I get inspiration, many of my friends do as well. I share your Facebook post or my daily email with many. Anyone that knows me knows that I love the princess. In fact my girlfriend called me last week after I shared a post with her and told me I needed to get a Cute little puppy like the princess has. I adored your book…. bought three of those last Christmas and had to order two more. They are perfect for Christmas gifts and also when someone’s facing a challenge in their life. My daughter is going through a divorce and I wrote a note to her in the book. She said she cherish that took forever. I hope things go better for you. Your post just encouraged me to share with you how much I look forward to your daily dose of inspiration. God bless you.
