Hi, my name is Lynn. I’ve been through a lot that your going through right now, by myself. Breast cancer, leukemia/bone marrow transplant, 3 surgeries on my back/5 discs removed. I guess my best advice is, none. No advice cause everyone has their own life’s experiences/journey. Positive attitude is key though. Sure you’re gonna have bad days and feel angry. Scream, throw things( it does help😁). But always remember you’re never alone. All the wonderful nurses, therapists, doctors, housekeeping and other patient’s company will talk with you and help you through this. And after you get through this and heal life will bless you with oh so much. Blessings and much love💞🌹

I pray you are getting better, day by day. I know there will be so many, on this site, who will pray for your healing. Jesus loves you. Can you call a church, and request a Preacher to come visit you? Maybe you could could ask him to ask some of the ladies in the church to come visit you. Tell us a little about your life and of your Country. I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 9 and great grandmother of 2. I live in Chattanooga, TN USA. Tennessee is a beautiful state, with lots of lakes and mountains. I grew up, through my teen years, in Cocoa Beach, Florida. That was in the 50’s and 60’s. A wonderful place to grow up. Lots of dancing on the beach, with friends. We only had one high school; so we all knew each other. If you missed school on a Monday, and came to school on Tuesday, with a sun burn, you received zero’s for the Monday you missed. Thank goodness, I tanned very easily. 😂. I will continue to pray for you to feel better soon; and for you to make a new friends through some of the church members who will visit you. Good Morning and Happy November! I live in Texas. It is a beautiful morning. The air is crisp and the skies are blue. The wind is gently blowing through the trees sending the leaves in a little whirl as they fall to the ground. The smell of fresh coffee lingers in my room. I can hear the sound of the train as it makes it’s way threw town. This has set off the birds who begin singing their morning songs. My dog Gypsy was startled awake this morning by a deer eating pecans that had fallen on the ground near my bedroom window. She is now curled up next to me as I write to you. I was very sorry to read your post this morning, understanding that you are going through such a difficult time alone. I’m sending you love and light to help see you through. I hope as you read my post, you can close your eyes and imagine all the beauty of life. I pray that you will heal quickly. You must give yourself time to heal. Summon up all the beauty you have known in your life to keep your spirits high as it is very important to help you heal. Your body and mind are one. You are not alone, we are all connected. It’s a scary time when you are alone and COVID makes it even scarier for those that are not well. But please rest assured that you’re not alone. wee wrod to the wise – many of us have had serious surgeries in the past and usually the very professional surgeons do their best, and then leave us to the Nurses to oversee our healing.
Remember this, YOU are in charge, even if it does not feel like it right now, physically. You have a deep well of goodness there inside, call on it now.
We are all here to help you hold it together, from all around the world! 🙂 If there is someone to discuss things with at the hospital, take them up on their offer. If they don’t offer services to chat, ask your Nurse.
Sometimes talking to a complete stranger is easier than someone close. None of us is alone in this old world. If anything 2020 has taught us that at least…we are on the globe together. Hang in there. Try to keep your mind occupied aso – read if you can, maybe keep a wee journal of your time now. ..just for yourself! It can be very helpful.
Take all the physio therapy they offer you. talk to the hospital about arranging home assistance when you are released. Looking to your future can help you get through today as well. Keep posting to this wonderful site! 😉

I have been a nurse my entire life and I also survived spinal surgery (not nearly as extensive as what you described), but it still took months before I really felt like myself. The fact that you suffered such a severe stroke and you are still able to express yourself so eloquently tells me that God has big plans for you! It may be difficult for you to believe this right now, but I pray that you keep your faith strong because I know He only gives His hardest battles to His strongest warriors! I can completely understand how you feel. I’ve been in and out of the hospital for the last 3 years. I just had another surgery on the 29th. I am single and know how hard it is to handle all the medical decisions, bills and the pain and worry for the future. You are not alone. You are strong and have made it this far. Please know so many are lifting you up in prayer. You are NOT alone. I cannot fathom what you are feeling right now. But I will tell you I had a couple of years after my daughter came out and told she had been sexually abused for 5 years as a child. It rocked our worlds and I could tell no one and felt SOoooo alone. I’m asking you to hang in there and know that this time of your life is NOT how it ends. Wanted. To Thank.You so much for your daily helpful inspiration.
Since one month I am in the hospital . I TELL YOU: I HAD A VERY COMPLICATED 12 hours.long SPINE SURGERY. IT WAS SO VERY AWFUL . 12 LONG….THEN I came in the Emergency Unit/ stroke Unot because of my Leukemia and I lost a lot blood. I got blood transfusions non.stop. Nevertheless I got a hard stroke/ infarct from my head / brain. I couldnt speak any more and my mouth / face looked a little strange . THIS ALL WAS 7 DAYS AGO. I am from Germany and completely alone ; that makes me so hard to come through all health- issues . Nobody calls me how I am. Nobody cares or is worried. I could CRY but life goes on……still I cannot walk due to the Spine Surgery; they fixed implantations.and 32 Screws; so I have to be patient…..pstient, patient…….Again my biggest Thanks for wonderful ART & ILLUSTRATONS. AS WELL YOUR HEARTFELT WORDS THAT BRIGHTEN UP MY DAYS HERE IN THE HOSPITAL. BLESSINGS AND MY VERY GOOD BEST WISHES. TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE IN GOOD HEALTH….HUGS.
