I’ve been listening to the inner Voice for years. It’s a practice. Sometimes it’s clearer than other times and when it is, there’s just nothing like it–it’s like being cradled in the palm of love itself and everything becomes clear. Honestly, I’ve found that there’s nothing more important than this. Nothing.

I’m someone who needs quiet time. I meditate, write, read, and contemplate spiritual ideas. I actually feel like I got nothing done if I’m too busy doing things, and I’ve been way too busy doing things as I prepare to move to California for an extended period. I could really use a fairy godmother right now but in lieu of that, flying monkeys will do.

I took up a serious yoga practice just before the pandemic hit. I had dabbled in it many years ago for a short time, but this journey has been very different. I’m seeing so many parallels between what I experience “on the mat” and life, particularly my spiritual life and growth. Many of these poses are very challenging–they require balance, strength, and flexibility but most all consistent practice and patience. (more…)
