I’m experiencing a lot of really big changes right now and needed this reminder today. Venturing into new territory is often a bit scary as it’s, well, unknown. Growth necessarily means change, and real change must necessarily take us into the unknown otherwise it would just be a repeat of what we’ve already experienced and know.
When I’m experiencing big changes I get quiet even more often than usual and narrow my focus. I might bring my attention to just today or even just this moment. During these big shifts the future isn’t clear because it’s unknown, if I try to project into it too far, I often end up scaring myself. Change can sometimes feel like driving down a dark unknown road. But what I try to remember is that I only need to see the next fifty feet in front of me that my headlights illuminate, and trust that these lights will keep pace with me as I go. xo
I have been a fan of yours since the very beginning.
You have your own Princess Sassy Pants site on my Pinterest site. Your mental health is as important as your physical health.
I am a former Psychiatrist Nurse who finds your posts to be critical for everyone’s mental health and that’s why how you feel is so important to me.
I often lean on the beautiful Prayer Of St. Francis that begins:
Lord make me an instrument of your peace…
Please know that your thousands of fans are by your side and praying how we could comfort YOU like you have comforted us all these years.
Blessings.

I love your work although I often don’t respond. Part of a lot of us is that old phrase we use in interim ministry:”we’ve never done it that way before”[aka:The 7 deadly words] Someday, if you’d like, I can share my sermon I preached on my last Sunday in most of my churches. It’s a chapter from a book called “The Carpenter and the Unbuilder”….
