I am feeling very grateful for all the reminders of what really matters in life…cookies. Seriously, I’ve been so very busy but when I get a moment, when things are quiet, my heart is filled with a deep sense that what really matters, what makes us truly rich, are the things money can’t buy–and when we give freely of ourselves in any way we can. In the words of Anne Frank, “No one has ever become poor by giving.”

The pictures are so whimsical and uplifting. Please make it out to “American Soldier” and then could it be sent out to a injured female soldier at Walter Reed Medical Army Hospital, or sent to a female soldier in the Middle East? I know its a request that may not be able to be filled, BUT if so I really hope it can brighten the day of one of our finest. And that she read it as she heals, OR she can share it with her company buddies, as they need daily encouragement and that little bit of magic! Thank you for your time!
Sincerely,
Susie

Dear Princess Sassy Pants,
Forgive me for being so excited to post to this page that I put my nominee in the wrong place and so I’m starting over!
I would love my earthly angel, Jody M., to be chosen as the recipient of your signed book. Here’s a short version of why: When I hit a very difficult place while navigating my way through this thing called “life”- having lost my job, my home, my reason for waking up in the morning, Jody put her arms around me when those I thought would be there didn’t, and piece by piece, her unconditional love and friendship pulled me out and up again. Jody, who weighs all of 100 pounds soaking wet, (I truly believe she’s iddy biddy from her constant motion helping others) has a dog named “Pita”, who looks exactly like the pup- who she “inherited” after she had done her “earthly angel” work and the owner passed away. It was his last request that Jody take his pup, Pita, as he knew she would take loving care of her just like he had seen Jody do time after time for those, like me, fortunate enough to have crossed her path along our journey. Jody has helped me return to a life of work, a place I can call “home” (following two years of living in a property that she never charged me one dime to live in- giving me a car she was no longer driving), so that I can do what I do best….helping others. Princess, as you well know, one never, EVER forgets the hand that takes yours….when being buried in life’s quicksand…..and for me, that hand was that of Jody M- and thus I am nominating her for this beautiful book of wonder. She is, beyond a doubt, so deserving of this.
