Rise and shine!

We often look around for answers, for a flicker of light—looking here, there, and everywhere. Perhaps it’s time to be the light we are searching for.

The first question that usually comes to mind is, “Well, how the heck do I do that?” The beautiful thing is that we don’t have to know the “how;” we just have to be willing to ask the question. The “how” will show up.

It might show up as Continue Reading »

And yes, my unicorn can fly; I feed her fairy dust.

Almost all my Christmas decorations are already down this year. Wow! That’s a first. I finally took the wreath off the door about two weeks ago. I am way ahead of schedule! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

Just add this…

My brother Steve has been helping me with a project. We were working, and the hubs came in and jokingly gave us a hard time. My brother said, “You need to add a little GR to that attitude.”

Our real Strength…

I know it sometimes seems like this isn’t true, but just because something seems to be true doesn’t mean it is true. It looks like the sun disappears at night, some trees die in winter, and roads narrow and disappear in the distance.

The same holds true with life in general: We need different experiences that teach us that no matter how it might seem, we are never alone, and there is a strength within that is greater than any storm.

But how do we have these new experiences? This Continue Reading »

Do you speak butterfly?

We’re all destined to speak our true butterfly language, but some still need to go through the chrysalis of change before they understand butterfly. The caterpillar simply has no reference point for the language of the butterfly. However, our culture allows little room for not knowing; many think they know what they still need to learn.

After I began having direct spiritual experiences, I became Continue Reading »

Does this compute?

I rarely quote others, but this is one of my favorite quotes. Macrina Weiderkher was a Benedictine monastic of St. Scholastica Monastery.

Most aren’t even aware of this, but we believe that if we look within, we will find the truth about ourselves, which will be too terrible to behold. Furthermore, we often believe that to think this of ourselves is humility and to believe in our beauty is arrogant.

On the contrary, what we actually find when we plunge into the inner depths is Continue Reading »
