I thought I’d share a little unicorn wisdom today.

People can believe whatever they want about you, but it’s always your choice to agree with them or not.

If someone says something about me that isn’t true, I try to look at it like this: If someone said I was covered in chicken feathers, would I get upset? I know I’m not covered in chicken feathers, so I would walk on without a second thought. (Probably laughing at how ridiculous that suggestion is.)

I can’t do anything about their belief. What I would need to be more concerned with is if I started trying to pluck my feathers.

So if someone doesn’t believe in you, just say, “What the cluck,” and fly on.

Happy New Year!

Here’s a little secret: However you want to see yourself, see others through that light. If you want kindness, give kindness. If you want love, give love. Whatever you want for yourself, give that to others, and you will find yourself basking in the light of what you gave.

We are One. What you give to others, you are giving to yourself…always. We cannot escape what we give. What you give to yourself, you give to all. Be willing and determined to look on everyone with kinder, gentler eyes in 2024, and you will see yourself in that same light.

Don’t worry. You don’t have to know how to do this; you only have to recognize that it’s what you want and be willing to learn.

Our dreams are those inner nudges of joy that we feel. Following them is much bigger than just personal fulfillment or some sort of personal indulgence; it is how we are led by something much bigger than ourselves (by whatever name we choose to give it).

Following your dreams isn’t about finding a career necessarily, making money, or becoming “successful.” It’s about listening for those little prompts of joy each day and having the courage to follow them even when you have no idea where they might lead you.

Joy in this moment is the only goal. If you feel truly joyful, what else matters?

Properly understood, following our dreams is not only a service to ourselves but is a service to everyone.

This is definitely a jammies-all-day day.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and you get a little quiet time today.

Today’s agenda includes puppy snuggles (whether he likes it or not), naps, reading in my rocking chair, more naps, and TV watching. Phew! I have a busy day ahead.

This is by far my favorite time of year, and I love snow! A big snowstorm is like a divine pause button that causes everything to slow down for a little while.

There are so many seasons in life, and as much as I would sometimes like to carry one season into another, it’s just not possible. The Christmas decorations are (eventually) put away, the snow melts, flowers fall away, and leaves disintegrate, making room for the next season.
