One of the first things that often happens as we begin to truly awaken spiritually is that our “comfort zones” become, well, uncomfortable. This is when we usually think all hell has broken loose and everything is falling apart.
Although they are familiar, comfort zones aren’t really all that comfortable. To find what we deeply long for, we must be willing to step out of these not-so-comfortable comfort zones, but for this to happen, we must experience the fact that we aren’t really comfortable in these well-trodden zones.
When things fall apart in this way, we usually try to piece Humpty Dumpty back together again, and this usually only makes the letting-go process much more painful. We tend to cling to our cocoon even though being squished into a restrictive ball is anything but comfortable.
The familiar is what we know by definition. It follows that when we leave the familiar, we enter the unknown, which can be scary, but this is where indescribable wonders are found.
Let go, sweetheart. What lies beyond your comfort zones is so much more than you can imagine. You are safe in this. Your new wings will support you now in a way that is nothing less than magical. If you will just trust them. You do not fly alone. All the wonders of the universe and beyond fly with you.

I like the unknown. t’s fun. I use to be frightened by it but not so much anymore. As long as I have a soft pillow and a bubble bath waiting for me somewhere I’m ready to fly!
