Like the Sun, the light is always shining within, but sometimes we have to pass through some dark clouds to see it.
Hang on. Don’t be fooled by the darkness; when we pass through, it’s sometimes an indication that we are moving closer to that light. We will never be left in the dark. We all push through eventually and blossom. It’s our destiny to blossom.
I know it can seem challenging, but the best way I’ve seen to pass through those dark clouds is to learn not to fight them. Fighting them is like shadowboxing; when I punch, my shadow punches, but when I lay down my arms, so does the shadow.
One of the most common ways we shadowbox is by saying, “This shouldn’t have happened. It’s not supposed to go this way. This should be different, etc.” Our arms are up as soon as we do this, so the fight begins.
I’ve found it helpful to get quiet and simply watch whatever thoughts and feelings arise and let them all be. Just let it be. Let it all be. Watch them all, and them be. If thoughts arise that you don’t want to let it be, let those thoughts be, too.
The key is laying down all attempts to try to change anything–including any desire to change things that might arise.
You might want to have tissues handy.

Thank you for using my favorite color in your picture. :) And someday, when I’m by myself, I need to just sit still and let the thoughts come and stop trying to fight them. I’m sure I will need a box of tissues before I’m done. <3
