This is by far my favorite time of year, and I love snow! A big snowstorm is like a divine pause button that causes everything to slow down for a little while.
There are so many seasons in life, and as much as I would sometimes like to carry one season into another, it’s just not possible. The Christmas decorations are (eventually) put away, the snow melts, flowers fall away, and leaves disintegrate, making room for the next season.
There’s so much said about letting go of the past, but how do you do that? How do you let go of those seasons that filled your heart with joy or left it broken into tiny pieces? The only way I know to do that is to focus on this season, today, and look for this day’s gifts and opportunities to learn and grow.
I know this can seem hard sometimes, but I’ve found that the journey is much more challenging and heavier when I try to carry all the past seasons into this one…into today. When I am focused on yesterday, I can’t see the beauty of the road I’m on.
I find it helpful to consciously look for the beauty and opportunities today offers, particularly when my mind wanders to wishing for something in the past or when my heart aches with the memory of past hurts.

The Past “is” the Present and the Future when love is timeless. Love is something that you always take with you. ✨🧚♀️❤️🧞♂️
