We hosted a holiday dinner party this weekend, and I’m pooped. I slept off and on all day yesterday, and today is looking like another jammies-all-day day.
Before the pandemic, we held a big holiday party every year at a local restaurant. I thought I’d do a smaller version at our house this year, thinking it would be less work. I was wrong. Oopsie.
My plan for the rest of the holiday season is to make very few plans. We have dinner with friends on Christmas Eve and are hosting a dinner at a local restaurant at the end of the month to celebrate our anniversary. That’s it.
It’s just the hubs and I on Christmas Day this year. It might be a good day for Chinese carry-out.
