How do we stop worrying? Well, we don’t try to stop worrying as that is often just denial, but we can bring our focus to this moment and find peace.
Worrying is always a fear related to the future, and the only change that can occur is in this moment; we never actually live in the future. Peace is the healer in this moment, bringing a future more aligned with our present peace.
When worry closes in, take a breath and just notice what is around you right now. You might remind yourself that no matter how things might look, Love surrounds you right now, in this moment.
It is impossible to focus on worry and peace at the same time. When we’re willing to lay aside our worry for a moment, we make room for peace to enter our awareness. It’s always waiting. It’s always waiting for us to just make a little room.
Thank you so very much for this. I’m so worried about health and finances, and getting older, bc ever since the 90s, things have gone downhill. And my life has always been a struggle, even as a kid with diabetes and bullying. And in my mid 60s I’m still judged today.
So thank you for writing this, especially since I’m feeling unworthy.
