The only change that can ever take place is in this moment. We can’t change the last minute or the next, but we can see this moment through different eyes…which will change tomorrow.
When I go within and begin to see with more clarity, I can often see the past through different eyes; I often see how everything served the purpose of helping me to awaken to the spiritual truth, however much it may not have looked that way at the time.
It’s like everything is an incomprehensibly large tapestry. Looking up close, I might see a big, hairy, scary black thing. But as I rise higher and higher, I see that the scary black thing is a beautiful thread that intertwines with all the other threads, creating a beautiful pattern that I just couldn’t see from the perspective I was seeing it from.
No matter how things might seem, we can always begin to ask to see it differently. Every moment has gifts when seen through the right lens. If I don’t see the gifts, I am just not looking through this lens, but I can go within and ask for help.
When I do this, I am not asking for something “out there” to change; I am asking for help to see it all differently.
If you’ve never experienced this, there’s really no way to describe it except to say it is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. It’s like finding everything you’ve been searching for right where you are, singing to you in and through everything.
This moment, right where you are right now, holds all the gifts you’ve been searching for and wants you to see them. You don’t need a different circumstance, person, or condition; you only need to see what has always been with you all along.
But don’t take my word for it. Be determined to find out for yourself.
