A little reminder to anyone who might need this today.
I know it sometimes seems like this isn’t true, but just because something seems to be true doesn’t mean it is true. It looks like the sun disappears at night, some trees die in the wintertime, and that roads narrow and disappear in the distance.
We don’t panic when driving on a hilly country road because we fear we’ll fall over the edge. We’ve had so many experiences that tell us that these appearances aren’t true that we drive on without a second thought.
The same holds true with life in general: We need different experiences that teach us that no matter how it might seem, we are never alone, and there is a strength within that is greater than any storm.
But how do we have these new experiences? This strength is seen through what might be called spiritual vision, which needs to be developed. It’s an inner knowing, an awareness that is clearer than anything seen with the eyeballs.
Go within. Listen. Ask. In order to find this strength, we have to look for it where it abides…within. The most important thing is to listen; this strength doesn’t need us to tell it anything.

Thank you for sharing…
I have been pondering a lot about “words”
Thank you:)

Not outside and separate from you. To look within is to look past what the senses might report, to quiet the senses and listen. So we might close our eyes and have minimal auditory stimulation so that we might learn how to hear from within more clearly. What we hear has been called many things by the saints, sages, seers, and mystics throughout history, but it doesn’t matter what words we use to point to something, the important thing is to EXPERIENCE what the words are pointing to. The word “chocolate” doesn’t have any flavor whatsoever, but what it points to is delicious…but only if you actually take a bite. There are many words that point to the same things in all languages, so getting caught up in words can be a sneaky way to avoid actually taking a bite of that chocolate. Likewise, we have to eat dishes from a menu and not just study the menu down to each tiny ingredient used, discuss it, or argue about it.
