
It’s okay if you don’t always fit in; not everyone will be your size.
I wish I had known this when I was younger. I wish I had known that not “fitting in” isn’t a bad thing. I wish I had known that my value isn’t in who likes me or what others may seem to think of me. Our intrinsic value is firmly established.
This doesn’t make others “bad”; we just all have our own unique paths we must follow. Paths that are all headed to the same place.
I would tell this younger me one thing over and over: You are valuable beyond comprehension, my dear, and there’s just nothing you can do about it. I would tell her that she just needs to go within, and she will find everything she is looking for. It’s all there already; it’s just waiting for her to recognize and accept it.
