For a very long time I’ve looked at my life like a laboratory. I take ideas and test them in my lab (my life) to see if there’s any merit to them. I seek to go beyond just words to actual experience.
Understanding that things are seldom, if ever, as they seem, I take whatever situation in my life that might seem to be challenging in some way and turn it around and over like a Rubik’s Cube looking for a perspective that might reveal a lesson, a blessing, or an arrow pointing me in a direction I hadn’t considered. Without exception, I have always found one of these things in every challenge although sometimes it’s taken a considerable amount of time of uncover it.
Some things in our life might look big, dark and scary but it’s as though we very close to very, very large tapestry. As we gain clarity, we begin to see this same tapestry from a distance so that the same thread that looked large, black, hairy and frightening up close, becomes visible as a tiny dot woven into a magnificently beautiful image. What changed? The tapestry didn’t change. Just our perception or perspective changed.
Gotta go. I have some test tubes that need to be washed.
