I’m feeling very grateful this morning for some of the challenges I’ve been experiencing as they have been the catalyst to get me back on track. I have a clearer sense of direction and that is to look within instead of outside of myself. It feels very liberating. I’ve not only been able to see this with regards to some of my current situations but also in relation to some profound disappointments from the past.
As I wrote a couple of days ago, the experience of releasing others from expectations is profoundly liberating. Nobody and nothing can give us what we are searching for. The beautiful thing is that they don’t need to because it does and always has been within us all along. Sometimes we just forget where to look.
On a different note: I am still amazed that two tiny pups can defy physics with their ability to almost fully occupy a king sized bed. (They do allow me a tiny sliver on the edge of the bed that seems to get smaller every night.)
I have to echo char baker’s comment, thank you for all of your messages of life,

I’m glad you are doing better. I understand about the pups. My little kitty takes a full third of our king sized bed. But my husband and I both sleep better with her.
Do continue to take care of yourself. Your art and your insights are a gift to all of us.

Good morning! I’m so happy you’re feeling more upbeat today! I really appreciate reading your thoughts, it helps me tremendously. You have two small pups? Love! I have a 7 lb. maltese that sleeps next to me in his crate. If he slept with me, I’d be up all night! Have a lovely day, hugs!

Try sharing the bed with an 85 pound Australian Shepherd.
My mantra for 2018 is ~ I am responsible for my own happiness.
Some days I have to put a note saying that on my mirror.
