I’ve been in a place of transition for some time–those periods in life where something we may have loved doing is wilting but there aren’t any new sprouts in site yet indicating our new direction. I’ve been in this place many times in my life and although it can be very uncomfortable and filled with a sense of uncertainty, I’ve learned that I can’t force it so the best thing to do is to try and relax, trust and listen within as much as possible. I’ve tried to push things along in the past, thinking I needed to and COULD figure things out and the result was a lot of pain and frustration.
When we are being led in a new direction there’s no way we could know what that will look like or how to navigate it because it is entirely NEW. We are in the unknown where magical, beautiful things blossom–things we never imagined. In fact, I’ve learned that when I’m in this place, if I can imagine it, its probably not what it will be.
Western culture unfortunately doesn’t offer a lot of support for these life transitions. Ours is a culture where we generally believe we should know what we want, where we are going and how to get there at all times. And if we don’t, we believe that something has gone terribly wrong or worse, WE are terribly wrong.
Hmpf…I fluff my tutu to such nonsense and will be here doing my best to relax, trust and listen within for the next steps into the unknown where seeds of inspiration are planted, and stardust congeals into magical ideas never conceived of. xo
I am with you on this one too! “Hmpf…I fluff my tutu to such nonsense and will relax, trust and listen within for the next steps into the unknown where seeds of inspiration are planted, and stardust congeals into magical ideas never conceived of”. Couldn’t have said it better myself! Here’s to magic, inspiration, and stardust implanted into each and every day for us henceforth!

Hi Beautiful Women, Oh my goodness, I love your words – and your art of course- so much!!! I’ve been in this space this entire last year and have been writing and talking about it as well, much in the same words as you use here though of course in my own way. It’s lovely to feel the resonance. Wishing you much ease and sparkles within the unknown. Love, Tanya

So well said….I hope I get that whisper in my ear in days to come. We all have a story…everybody is so easy to judge and no one knows ones story. I hope all who are suffering including myself find some sort of peace and assurance in days to come….I will also fluff my tutu!!! Have a great day to all…….

It is important to follow your heart at times like this. I also have had to go through this many times in my life (I’ll be 70 soon!) Loss of jobs, illnesses, cancer survivor, lived through a terrible car accident with problems but still going, loss of both parents and way too many family members and friends. But I feel that following that inner voice is what keeps me going and still with a smile on my face and my sense of humor intact. Not easy, but we all find out who we really are. The best to you and good things for you.
